Especially with songs like "Kari Kari Andhiyari Thi Raat", "Are Ja Re Hat Nat Khat", "Adha Hai Chandrama Raat Adhi" and my favorite "Tu Chhupi Hai Kahan".
This is one of my favorite C. Ramchandra albums, I only know the hindi one's (and I'm still looking for my favorite, Nirala). He started his career for Tamil and Marathi films, I would love to hear them. He is definitely on my top 5 composer list, because of his versatility, from classical to rock'n'roll or jazz, he is great to listen too. But if we come back to Navrang, it's a great album.

Adha Hai Chandrama Raat Adhi is one of my favorite songs of all time! My dad saw this movie when it first came out in India and liked it. He said it was wayyyyyyy ahead of it's time and most people didn't really understand it. Nice to see someone that appreciates this classic :)
If you are still looking for Nirala (1950). I can u/l
its songs from DVD and leave a link in the comment.
As far as C. Ramachandra is concerned, his best
work is Yasmin (1955). Nothing can touch it.
But I do like Devta (1956), Nausherwan-E-Adil (1957),
Parchhain (1952), Patanga (1949), Sargam (1950),
Baarish (1957).
Navrang actually has 12 songs in CD and DVD. If you require the rest or above list, let me know.
The reason Lata didn't sing is because they had a falling out as he was married and was carrying an affair with her and didn't want to leave the wife.
The link for this isn't working...but I would love to have these songs (only have low res version). I also have Nirala songs ripped from the DVD and cleaned if you still need them.
Hi, the link works now. Sorry for the setback.
What disappointed me the most was that the semi-classical song "Rang De Re", which was in the Movie's intro (along with dialogues) was excluded in this LP. That's the song I was looking forward to the most, minus the dialogues.
Can the person above who has all 12 songs please upload them?
Thanks very much for this excellent blog and its contents.
Greatt read thank you
